Salon (n):

A social meeting where people with shared interests (artists, writers, intellectuals) gather for stimulating conversation, debate, and the exchange of ideas along with curating connection and community.

FinSalon (n):

A modern salon for accountants, bookkeepers, fractional CFOs, and finance professionals who refuse to show up or build the way beige Patagonia-vest culture asks them to.

THE ROOM

an anti-mastermind mastermind

The financial services industry clings to its boring af branding, stale perspectives, and outdated ways of doing business like its life depends on it. And when you’re a money mxmmy or dxddy with a big personality, spicy opinions, and a mouth that doesn’t filter for LinkedIn, it’s hard to figure out how you can both be yourself and be taken seriously.

The FinSalon is what today’s masterminds only dream to be. It’s a room full of finance pros talking shit productively. We throw ideas around, poke holes in them, pressure-test pricing, messaging, and positioning, and tell each other the truth without worrying about hurting feelings. We talk through what’s working, what’s falling flat, and what you’re secretly over but haven’t admitted out loud yet. We clock each other’s strengths, call out patterns, and point at the things you’re too close to see on your own.

And when you leave the room, you're the only one in your lane (bc you f*cking built it).

THE PEOPLE

who's in the room with you

CURATORS
GUESTS
DESIGNERS
curators:

Your Salonière (Meaghan) + the hot girl leadership team

A person holding a glass of water with lemon slices, sitting next to a grey table covered with a yellow and black checkered cloth, on an outdoor paved area.
Guests:

Outside industry experts here to share perspectives and ideas on standing out, taking risks, and becoming known for your personality.

Person lying on a white textured couch raising both legs, wearing black high-heeled knee-high boots and beige shorts.
Designers:

Accountants, bookkeepers, and CFOs, you (you’re not just a “student,” k? You’re the GD designer of your life and business)

THE PURPOSE:

Money is sexy. Accounting refuses to be.

This industry was built around beige credibility and playing it safe, which leaves a wide-open lane for anyone willing to bring a point of view. The FinSalon is where you step into it.

That starts with getting clear on what you think, want, and stand for. Then saying it out loud in a room full of people who know this industry and won’t let you hide behind polite bullshit. That’s the work. That’s the room. That’s the purpose.

The power is in the witnessing. You bring your ideas in half-formed. We sharpen them until they hit. You don’t leave until they’re so good, so obvious, and so desired we’re basically salivating. And when your audience gets ahold of them, they will be too.

The FinSalon is an anti-mastermind mastermind for finance pros who are done blending in and ready to be known for who they are and what they say. It exists because this industry rewards sameness and calls it credibility, even though personality is what truly creates demand. Inside the room, you learn the ins & outs of desire, positioning, identity, and presence, then use live conversation and critique to refine your own ideas in real time. Unlike other containers, you’re not here to be more like me. You’re here to be more like YOU, just a hell of a lot more confident and clear about it.

THE TOOLS:

how we'll create & measure growth

  • The first six weeks of the container. Structured sessions focused on teaching, frameworks, and guided discussion to get everyone on the same page before critique begins.

  • Full-session critiques focused on one designer’s business, messaging, pricing, or pivot, with the entire room locked in on refining it.

  • Recordings of all salons and spotlights so you can hear your own thinking more clearly after the room has worked on it.

  • A proprietary scoring system that tracks how much desire your ideas actually create, measured at entry and again at graduation (so you can see your growth).

  • A capstone showcase where you articulate how your practice evolved and receive final refinement before taking it public, plus get your final Cravings Index™ score.

  • The conversation doesn’t stop when we leave the Zoom room. You’ll have continued access to a portal where you can submit content for feedback, ask questions, and connect with other designers.

THE CONVERSATION:

smart people discussing cool sh*t

You know the things you wish you could ask people in our industry but are afraid to hurt their feelings? Or the questions you’re avoiding answering yourself? That’s what you’ll hear in the FinSalon. It sounds a little something like this—

  • Why do you feel like you can’t say this out loud? What are you actually afraid will happen?

  • You keep saying you want to build a team. So why haven’t you made a single move yet? Where can we start today?

  • Who are you secretly hoping doesn’t notice this offer?

  • If you were getting paid what you wanted, what would you stop tolerating immediately?

  • Be honest. Is this confusing because it’s complex, or because you’re avoiding a decision?

  • Who does this pricing scare away? And why does that make you so nervous?

  • It kind of sounds like you know exactly what you want to do. So why aren’t you doing it?

  • What have you done recently to stay on the cutting edge of our industry?

  • How have you challenged your own thinking and processes lately?

  • What part of your business only exists because you’re afraid to disappoint someone or do things different than everybody else?

  • Are you actually craving growth here, or are you craving validation?

That’s the f*cking point. Conversation that leads to movement.

These conversations are candid, sometimes uncomfy, occasionally unhinged, and always useful. We say the thing, follow it to its logical conclusion, and make a decision instead of talking about it for another year.

Every time.

THE ITINERARY:

what our 4.5 months look like

Weeks 1 through 6: Curriculum

The first six weeks are focused on education. We’ll walk through the core business and marketing foundations required to build a practice people crave without losing yourself in it. Think topics like: positioning, marketing, sales, and systems. All the non-sexy sh*t you need to get pinned down before worrying about anything else. Guest experts may join for select sessions, but this phase is designed to give everyone a shared language and direction before we move into critique.

  • Getting clear on who you’re building for, who you’re willing to repel, and how to communicate to the right people in the right way

  • Developing a point of view that belongs to you, repeating it with intention, and becoming mentally sticky

  • Designing a luxurious client experience, setting clean boundaries, and running a backend that holds up under growth

  • Embodying the identity your signature practice requires and positioning yourself accordingly

  • Selling your work in a way that’s clear, irresistible, and doesn’t require you to perform

Weeks 7 through 18: Salon and Spotlights

This is where everything gets tested. Each week, one designer brings forward up to two areas for group critique. Messaging, offers, pricing, positioning, or whatever needs refinement most.

We listen, evaluate, poke holes, and assign an initial Cravings Index™ score. Refinement continues between sessions inside the group chat, leading up to the Symposium, where you present your final body of work and receive your graduating Cravings Index™ score.

After graduation, my hope is we continue to loudly cheer each other the f*ck on and change the standards of our industry.
